School History
Agora Madrid International School is a private bilingual school founded in 1981 which is characterised by educational excellence, comprehensive education and personalised attention for each student. In 2006 it began to form part of the Globeducate educational group, contributing to the formation of a global network of more than 65 schools around the world through international education and fundamental values for our students.
Our educational project
IB: An education for the future
In 2015, Agora Madrid International School obtained authorisation to teach the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme (DP), a model for the future which develops pupils' key skills for their academic, professional and personal success, helping them to achieve their goals in an international context. For all those who are interested in studying a specific Baccalaureate in the Arts, Agora Madrid International School offers the first International Baccalaureate specialising in Performing Arts in the country.
Multilingualism
We prepare students for an international future without limits or barriers. We offer a multilingual educational project, with linguistic immersion beyond English, which allows students to master the official language of their place of residence along with English, French, German or Chinese. In addition, they can obtain official qualifications such as Trinity College London or Cambridge certificates.
STEAM: Science and Arts
Art and science through STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) skills are key to children's all-round development: they bring enormous cognitive and personal benefits, as well as enhancing their communication skills. The school is part of an Official Music Conservatory, which allows its pupils to obtain the Elementary Music Degree and continue their studies. In the field of expression, our pupils have the Víctor Ullate Roche School of Performing Arts, which also operates within the school with its Sing & Dance Project.
Sports and Well-being
Sport is an integral part of our curriculum, instilling healthy habits in our pupils and encouraging values such as perseverance, teamwork and self-improvement. They play more than 14 different sports and have 6 sports schools that compete in federated leagues. This training is complemented with sporting events organised by the school and the Globeducate group throughout the school year.
Shaping the World
Children entering education today will graduate as young adults in 2030. We must prepare them for jobs and technologies that do not exist today, to solve problems that have not yet been foreseen. We encourage our students to take charge and shape their own future: we want them to be global citizens who can shape the world.
